Just quit Facebook

With Quitting Anything

I won’t deny the better option may very well be quitting Facebook altogether. However, every platform and technology presents itself with both good and bad qualities. The bad, being as I described, a time suck and nihilistic vanity of sorts. The good being, I can keep up with my close family, my extended family and even close friends that live across the world — in a way thad I’d otherwise be unable to. Of course there’s email, but the older generations don’t seem half as adept at emails as they do at ‘easy-to-use’ Facebook.

As technologies become the norm for people, I’d much rather bridge the gap and say “this is how you can use this well” than be a complete luddite and say “stop using this completely.” The latter will always be disregarded.

Cheers and thanks for your response.
