Now, in week two of lockdown, the fissures appear.


It is harder for us to stay in sync with each other. We are fracturing light scattering through water. Shock is dissolving, dropping us into the hardest edges of our new reality. We cling to lighter things, to lifelines, like gossamer threads to a forgotten normalcy, like tin cans joined by a string through which we can call to friendliness, to innocence.
