An Open Letter to Adele (using her own song titles)

Hello Adele,

When We Were Young, I wanted to be Someone Like You. I Found a Boy who was my First Love. He gave me the Cold Shoulder but that was a Million Years Ago. I’v listened to all of your albums on repeat as a Lovesong, hoping for a Remedy. I’m Crazy for You and your music, a true fan with the Sweetest Devotion.

Rumor Has It that your concerts in LA Set Fire to the Rain. I’m Rolling in the Deep and haven’t been able to find a ticket, but that’s Water Under the Bridge. Don’t You Remember what it was like to be young Turning Tables & Chasing Pavements? You are Right as Rain, it leaves you Tired, that’s My Same feeling. If I have anything to give you in return, you can Take It All.

All I Ask is for a chance to see you in my Hometown Glory of Los Angeles this Friday night, August 12th. I asked my friend to come with me but He Won’t Go. Saving the Best For Last, it would Melt My Heart to Stone to hear you sing my One and Only favorite: Make You Feel My Love.

If I don’t get the chance to see you at the Staples Center, you still have my Love in the Dark and I (will) Miss You. Send My Love (to your New Lover) and maybe one day we will meet on the River Lea.

I’ll Be Waiting for Someone Like You,

Marissa Stahl
