I love novels of Jonathan Franzen. His latest: Purity is just flawless. Actually all of his writings are settled in the genre of sociocritical family drama. Surely it is not everyone’s taste. As I am not a big fan of fictional stuff — hold on, novel = non-fiction — Yes! Thats the essence in Franzens literatur which I love. Fictional but still so realistic that it grabs you after a few minutes of focused reading and pulls your conscious into his world. And the cherry on top of the icing of the cake (as we say in my language for the game-changer?!) that you starting to enter the authors mind, the thighter you can focus on that ONE thing.
