WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS MEAN TO YOU?

A few days ago I was asked what does Christmas mean to me. Thinking, praying Jesus answered.

Christmas is what is was. It means what it meant. Confused? Here is what I mean.

When Jesus originally came those two thousand and something years ago. What was the impact? Joy! Joy had dawned!! Hope for all the nations. It was delivered as a humble gift of LOVE. He came not to condemn but rather to save. And save He did.

But what was Christmas to people then then? It was many things. It was a belief in the start of something new, something different. It was a reunion between God and man. He was a gift — given in full to us. A gift that did everything for us! It was redemption. It was an opportunity for people to know Jesus. It was miraculous. Not only in birth but in His life. It was when true life was born. It was Game Changing.

What does it mean today? It’s the belief that we can start anew today. That we can be reborn into true life. It’s a reminder that Jesus has already reunited God and man. That we can be in His presence despite our circumstance. That it was a gift that was given to us, paid in full. It was the day religion died. When we can take a position of rest. Christmas is still a season where people can come to know Jesus. Where generosity can overflow in us as we have received generosity abundantly. Christmas is the reminder of the Game Changer. When love conquered. When unity surpassed division. Where Hope rises. And people find joy despite life’s circumstances. A joy that is sure. A joy that is only found in Jesus!!!
