Mark Crumpacker is an accomplished executive who possesses more than 20 years of experience in the marketing and advertising space. Throughout his career, Mark Crumpacker has focused on developing creative and emotional marketing messages that resonate with consumers.
Most recently, Mark Crumpacker applied his well-honed professional talents in this area to his role as the chief marketing & strategy officer with Chipotle Mexican Grill. In addition to managing the corporation’s advertising, digital marketing, and social marketing strategies, Mr. Crumpacker oversaw its design, construction, and real estate development functions. At Chipotle, he demonstrated the ability to tell creative stories through the development of the short film and mobile game The Scarecrow, which earned two Daytime Emmy Awards.
During his tenure with the company, he also established a nonprofit venture, the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation. As president, he led the organization’s efforts to create a sustainable future for the food industry through support for family farming, cooking education, and regenerative agriculture practices.
Prior to this role, Mr. Crumpacker served in an executive capacity for a number of companies, including a gay and lesbian media company focused known as PlanetOut Inc. As the president and chief operating officer of the company, he helped it to acquire a number of similarly positioned media companies. Subsequently, he cofounded the branding and interactive firm Sequence, LLC, which was recently acquired by Salesforce.
Mark Crumpacker graduated from the ArtCenter College of Design with a bachelor of fine arts in advertising and graphic design. In addition, he studied economics at the University of Colorado.
