No Bully Organization Attends International Meeting on Bullying
The former CEO of Mission Motorcycles, Inc., in San Francisco, Mark Seeger became partner at Highland Capital Partners in Palo Alto in May 2015. He founded Mission Motorcycles, which designed and produced the world’s fastest high-end electric motorcycle, and sold the company in early 2015. When not in the office, Mark Seeger remains active within his community and serves as an advisory board member for No Bully.
Formed in 2003 in San Francisco, No Bully is a nonprofit organization that trains schools on how to end violence, bullying, and harassment. Since it began, No Bully has created bully-free campuses for more than 100,000 students.
In May 2016, UNESCO invited members of No Bully to Paris to join other civil society organizations and educational professionals from across the globe. They met to discuss in-school violence carried out because of sexual orientation and gender identity. This two-day event marked the first time that an agency with ties to the United Nations took steps to address school bullying. Numerous nations at the conference reported that more than half of students who identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ) had experienced a form of violence or bulling due to their gender identity or sexual orientation.
