We tend to teach what and (probably more critical) how we know, and this is a big challenge for most of the profession. We were successful in the old paradigm — so we assume that it works and that it is good for kids, and we are also nervous about adopting a new one because we may not be as successful. I try to stay in touch with my inner 5 year old. Always be curious, ask questions and explore — and assume that you know nothing (or perhaps just a very small part) of any given topic. It lets me be amazed and in awe every single day, and that is an incredible gift. Thanks for responding!
