I actually loved the 2.0 version and I think it suited the product you have. It was fresh and made Medium stand out as an alternative content platform.

I like the new identity too, in particular the App Icon. I am interested to hear how you think the new ‘traditional’ branding will mesh with the novel and unique product elements like ‘claps’? This, as an example, seems to be at odds with ‘traditional’.
