Jack Dorsey theory of time management and running two businesses simultaneously.

The micro blogging organization, Twitter Inc.’s CEO and co-founder, Jack Dorsey is also the CEO Square Inc., a mobile payment business. The board of directors of the micro blogging business were skeptical when Jack was seen as the potential CEO, due to him already being in the same position an entirely different company that he founded too. However since he has been appointed CEO, he has made some successful changes ad is running both the companies very well. Here is how Jack Dorsey manages time and both businesses successfully.

Square Inc.’s office is very near the social media networks office, which makes it convenient for the CEO to handle the organizations easily. Another executive chairman of the social media platform, Omid Kordestani reported to have trouble in organizing a meeting with Jack due to his rough schedule, he came up with a solution, which was to be the Jack’s driver for the day in order to speak to him while he ws traveling from one place to another. This incident indicates how touch Jack’s routine must be and how difficult it must be to get a hold of him.

Jack Dorsey was re-appointed as the chief executive of the social media service only a month ago and has made many changes in the company in a very short span of time. Both businesses Jack is running are now public, his double role is compared to Steve Jobs, who was running two giant businesses, Apple and Pixar simultaneously too. How Dorsey does it so well is mainly because he has no other responsibilities, he is unmarried and has o children of his own, and Jack refers to these two companies as his children instead. He is 39 years old and seem capable of handling pressure, which is growing everyday as both the companies have problem of their own that he has to take care of and look into.

Twitter Inc. has reportedly been suffering when it comes to user growth, jack came up with solution to generate profit by monetizing inactive users, the investors of the organization were unhappy might have to rely on patience to see success. On the other hand the payments firm is suffering when it comes to expansions and compete sufficiently in the market that is growing rapidly.

Jack Dorsey manages time by constructing a good schedule beforehand, he said, “The same consistency everyday allows a steady state that enable to be more effective when I do have to react to something out of band.” He starts his day as early as 5:00 AM by a meditation for half an hour, after that a seven minute workout to keep him healthy, and goes to bed by 11:00PM mostly. He works for 18 hours on a weekday, by giving his morning to the social media business and afternoons to the mobile payment company.

Twitter stock closed at $22.66 after going green by 0.44% on December 23.
