I know it’s not very dignified, but I think it helps to put sprinkles on your twitter snacks.

Look, with 10x the followers I have, what do I know? I’m having a cup of coffee and guessing about this just like everybody else. But I think people care about this very much. Maybe make it more “twitter edible?”

Sometimes, when a story is important to me, I screen cap the story somehow (this was from their tweet), and send out the link. For example:

THis got 6900 impressions and 125 retweets.

It’s not genius. In fact, it’s kind of lazy. And ugly. Plus my snark on it isn’t super hilarious. Still, it was a little sticky and I find the hashtag #IranDeal has been helpful.

Lots of good memes out there which you could — with credit — add to your facts and link your links…

I know, the facts of it all should matter but I think there’s an evolving visual language to twitter that includes memes, videos, vines and periscopes.

So… as a follower, I say take this with a grain of salt. You have reach and an important voice. Maybe give some visuals a try with the same facts? :)

Don’t lose heart.

Cheers!
