Diederich College of Communication: Ben

“The people in communications are the best. I’ve had conversations with students in other colleges at Marquette, and they say they like what they’re doing, but there’s just something different about Comm majors and the environment. Students who switch majors into our college have noticed it too. There are always tons of discussions — people really enjoy what they do.”

Ben Dombrowski is a junior studying Corporate Communication and Advertising. This past summer, he interned with GMR Marketing to get his hands in the advertising field and gain experience, which he says has make him interested in pursuing a career in advertising after graduation. Outside of the classroom, he is involved in Campus Ministry and Marquette Student Government, as well as host of MURadio’s show “Alternative Energy.”

As part of the curriculum, many majors in the Diederich College of Communication are required to hold an internship at some point before graduation. Students receive class credit while interning and, most importantly, real-world experience in their future profession. Read more here.
