Research Goal

The virtual currency Bitcoin has been growing up strong for the past years! It’s time to have a look at its current potential. First it seems like you need a lot of cold hard cash. Then it seems complicated to start with. Not to mention on how to buy one. So how do you start this maze?

The Rules:

  1. How to get Free Bitcoins.
  2. Learn from other people’s experiences.
  3. Get my own experiences.
  4. Find the fastest solution.
  5. Have Fun!
  6. Share the knowledge!

Get a (Bitcoin) Wallet

There’s no use in trying to gain money if we don’t have a place to stash it. Get a Bitcoin Wallet and be your own bank. The best one in my opinion is blockchain. That is the only free non commercial one out there. No catches with hidden fees etc. Simple and easy and they have a mobile app as well as the others.

Without extra fees:
Blockchain
Click on ‘Start a New Wallet’.

With extra fees:
Xapo
Coinbase

Units of Bitcoin

The main idea of the virtual currency is to make it compliant to worldwide currencies. Bitcoin tries to achieve this compliance by being an 8 decimal value currency. The smallest value in a Bitcoin is named after its creator. (Satoshi Nakamoto). All the units of bitcoin:

Getting Free Bitcoins

During my research I had a threesome with determination and patience. You can get anywhere with them and it’s fun all the way, but nothing compares to the taste of satisfaction! It’s hidden in one of these:

  • Mining (pool)
  • Gambling (Online Casinos etc..)
  • Faucets
  • Mobile Games
  • Referrals

Mining

Miners keep the block chain consistent, complete, and unalterable by verifying transactions. Because of expensive hardware people started to set up ‘mining pools’. More people, more power, more income. But impossible with only a laptop at hand. Remember we aren’t going to spend a dime here! The first 3 rules are still compliant.

When starting to mine, my computer got hot and slow. It was taking forever to get some mining done. Not to mention the electricity when running your baby all day and night.

There wasn’t any progress from a mile away, the software crashed sometimes. There’s a new account required for every pool you try to have a look at. So Rule 4+5 were not met! Mining will not work for this.

Feel free to share your own experience, especially what you gained and your approach. (Mine Pools, Cloud Mining..) No need to bring up the past. Keep the talks about 2015 experiences please.

Set up your laptop as a Bitcoin Miner:

Mac Only Miner

You can calculate your mining costs here.

Gambling (Online Casinos …)

So without investing, how could we end up gambling? Well some online Bitcoin casino’s lure you with some small change they give away. Then you can roll some virtual dice and check all you want. But in the end you’re just gonna lose it all or waste time trying to get it onto your wallet. Because of a possible necessary deposit and Rule 1, there was only 1 I tried out. Satoshidice, one of the first online gambling sites around Bitcoin.

Satoshi Dice

You will get a couple hundred satoshis to whet your appetite, but once you have saved a few you’re on your own! Big losses and despair are heading your way. If you

Faucets

If you don’t mind ads floating around and you can click. Then faucets will give you a nice ROI. Rule 1 applies to us, but someone else has to leave some money for us to take. Provided with lots of ads, you can click your way through banners, captchas and make some money. Make sure you unblock your AdBlocker. Everybody has to make a living and most sites will block their prizes if you block their ads.

All the Faucets listed gave me satoshis or bits in just a few hours or days time.

Land Of Bitcoin

ePay

Bitcoin Cloud

Bit Visitor

Robot Coin

Wonderland Coin

Moon Bitcoin

Alien Faucet

Mobile Games

You can just play games on your phone and earn bitcoins. There are a lot of ads in the game, so watch your step. But for those who are brave enough, the rewards will pile up to form a stairway to heaven! You have seen the web version of Alien Faucet. Those guys also made 2 mobile apps. Subscribe and download and they will give you 10 000 satoshis!

Click the ‘Free 10k Satoshi’ menu.

Alien Faucet

Referrals

WIP. Click on the links provided in this article Top 5 section. The more you click, the faster I can see the results and share these. This should finish in less than a few weeks.

Checkpoints:

  • Are the companies paying.
  • Are the percentages worth it.
  • Is it in some way profitable.
  • Which one is most profitable of all.

Extra Resources

Top 5

  1. Alien Faucet | Mobile + Online
  2. Wonderland Coin
  3. Moon Bitcoin
  4. Robot Coin
  5. Bit Visitor

Conclusion

There are a lot of other resources I have tried. But the ones above gave me the fastest and best results to reach my goal. While creating a lot of accounts on several unknown resources. I haven’t noticed any spam in the email inbox I used. So it looks like there are a lot of ads, but somehow the services make sure they are not getting more than needed.

There are a lot of sites I mentioned above that started to crash after a while. Usually that means you need to take a walk or just go back another day or a few hours later. The mobile apps never crashed and the Alien app you could use 24/7. I hope you can start collecting coins right away. Let me know your thoughts and experiences and thanks for reading!
