On August 29th, 2013, I began journaling. In the past when I was younger, I used to write from time to time, but never seriously, and not to the level of consistency that I do now. I decided two years ago that I wanted to take my journaling seriously because there were so many thoughts, so many ideas and beliefs I had in my mind. They all just had to be written on paper.
And so on that day, I bought a red moleskine notebook.
I believe that journaling is more than just recording your day to day activities. It’s become one of the hobbies that I am the most passionate about because of how powerful it can really be. A journal is a record of your thoughts, your ideas, beliefs, opinions, emotions. It remembers memories and details from the past. But it’s also a medium that contains your dreams, goals, and aspirations for the future. You can write whatever you want in a journal. But perhaps one of the greatest things I love about journaling is that you get to see who you once were, how much you’ve grown, and the changes you’ve experienced in your life. And with that, I plan to write until I die.
