I read this one and I was unconsciously smiling as I scroll down to enjoy the read.
And on getting to the end, I realised I missed the rhymes.
OH! This poem has got rhymes. So I scrolled up again to re-read.
And then I realised you have the same name with my younger sister. Then I read the third time and fought the urge of trying to dis-assemble this poem — by reading and absorbing each word — just to learn how to put my words together like this sometimes.
And then I later realised I needed to respond to this.
And now I’m saying “This is a nice piece”. You are surely a writer. (I think you are born to be one anyways).
I look forward to seeing more posts as this. I love poems but I really suck at it. I’ve tried writing them (and they really suck) and I am still trying to write them. So I appreciate people who take their time to craft such wonderful piece as this.
Well done Oyindamola Williams.
Edit: Whoa! Oyindamola Williams, I just realized I didn’t recommend this piece even after responding. I guess that’s how well this piece caught my attention. A GREAT PIECE HERE. I still mean every word. Nothing is changing still. The only thing changing now is that I now write poetry. {at least I’m trying} :)
