UFC 214 Preview

This Saturday fight fans get to witness three title fights, one being the most anticipated rematch in UFC history. Daniel Cormier (19–1) and Jon “Bones” Jones (22–1) will headline the Main Event for the most stacked card of year. You low-key don’t want to miss this.
If you haven’t had the chance to see the UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2 “Tame Your Demons” promo you really should. It is by far the best promo the UFC has ever put together. You can watch that below:
The Main Card

I don’t even know where to begin. This is the type of card that gets me excited to shell out $59.99 to my cable provider. We are going to take a look at The Main Event, Co-Main Event, and one Sleeper Fight that will blow your mind.
The Main Event

The Main Event is the long awaited rematch between Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier (19–1) and Jon Jones (22–1). The first time these two fought in January 2015, Jones beat Cormier by unanimous decision and they have been talking crazy shit to one another ever since. This is Cormier’s one and only loss in the UFC, so you know it’s about to go down Saturday night.
Jon Jones was once the best pound for pound fighter in the world. He was undoubtedly the best mixed martial artist and the baddest motherfucker in the universe for the past decade. He defended his belt 8 times. Yes, that’s 8 more times than Conor McGregor and on top of that, Jones hasn’t lost a fight in a cage since 2009. I had to check, it’s 2017. So how on earth does Daniel Cormier have the belt in his possession?
Jon Jones was stripped of his belt in 2015 due to legal issues I prefer not to talk about. He messed up pretty bad, lost everything, but has worked hard to get his life back together. This is so much more than just a fight Saturday. Jones is fighting for his life. I love redemption stories and I love when people overcome adversity. So I guess that means I love Jon Jones?
Co-Main-Event

Another title fight! Tyron Woodley (17–3–1) will attempt to defend his Welterweight Championship belt against Brazil’s Demian Maia (25–6). What makes this fight so interesting is that both fighters have completely oppposite fighting styles. Woodley is well-known for his explosiveness and power. He is going to want to keep this fight standing up because Maia is a different kind of animal on the ground.
Demian Maia is one of the best grapplers I have EVER seen. The man is a legit black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and he is Brazilian if that makes any sense. If Maia gets a hold of one of Woodley’s legs, Maia will take his back, and that’s it. Tyron, if you can hear me, don’t let him grab any one of your legs.
Sleeper Fight

Don’t you dare try to blink during this fight. This could easily be the Main Event Saturday. We have two UFC veterans squaring off in a welterweight classic that fight fans dream of. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (32–8) will take on the “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (27–11). These two men have 78 fights between them. Are you shitting me? That is ridiculous and dangerous, but I’m still here for it. We will see this fight added onto the UFC Classics Collection DVD.
