I love number 8. Executives are sick of hearing about changes they should make by someone saying that a competitor or some company with a better reputation is doing it. Things that make a shiny new way more palatable: (1) you aren’t the first person who has brought it to the executive and (2) the executive has already indicated she is invested in making this sort of change.
