Insanity and results

If you are stuck doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, it is insanity. Yes, that is paraphrasing someone else, but those words are ever so pertinent.

Triggering my etchings here has been a couple of recent events. While the details of these don’t need to disclosed, it is the sentiment I wish to address. How can people, how can groups, organisations, do the same things over and over and expect to progressing? That’s the thing, they don’t see any issue with what they are doing. To me you should be looking far ahead, but whilst doing so set out a plan to get there. Without a clear plan, that is adaptive, you will never get to where you plan to. You will however wander aimlessly, no clear path, still thriving to get to the same place.

Persistence is good if you are on the right track, adaptation and compromise help you get to where you are going. Obstacles will always exist, some expected, others catching you unaware. You must work out solutions to get — around, over, under — PAST these or you will NEVER get where you want. You will be stuck.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
