Derrick Rose Agrees On One-Year Deal With The Cavaliers

Derrick Rose, a former NBA MVP, has agreed to terms on a one year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This comes after ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that earlier this month, Kyrie Irving told the Cavs front office that he would like to be traded.

Rose has had a difficult time getting his career back on track due to all the injuries and chaotic front offices that he’s been around. Granted, the Cavs front office is going up in flames as we speak, Rose will be in the best basketball situation for him since his MVP season.

Anyone with functioning eyes can see that the triangle, the offense the Knicks have ran when under leadership of Phil Jackson, has without a doubt held Rose back.

This is a great move for both parties involved. The Cavs needed a Kyrie Irving replacement and Rose will be able to just focus on basketball for once.

Cleveland likes to play fast, which will be great for Rose, he’ll finally be free and allowed to work his magic in transition. I assume we’ll see flashes of the old Derrick Rose throughout the season.

This is the most motivated Rose will have been since his MVP season as well. He hears all the critics and jokes. He has a great chance in Cleveland to get back to his old self and make the NBA Finals.
