Matt’s design adventure
After reading about 50 design problems in 50 days, I decided I wanted to do something similar, I wanted my own adventure!
Though not quite on the same scale due to work commitments etc. So when two friends of mine that are architecture students from the University of Portsmouth, Haakon and Bix, were planning to go on a field trip to Dubai, they were kind enough to invite me along.
I leapt at the opportunity! So while they are looking for inspiration for their own projects, I would use my time to see what UX/Social problems that I come across that can be solved with design. Hopefully, we may even find problems that we can solve together.
Overall the experience was enlightening for me, a chance to go back to university, picking my own projects, doing some rapid prototyping and setting my own goals. Always carrying a moleskin and a pen with me, I was ready to take on anything Dubai could throw at me.
These are all the solutions I came up with while out there, so sorry if there is something similar already in existence, it just means I came up with the same idea in a day that they did. Great minds think alike and all that…
So take a look at my adventure and let me know what you think of my solutions! I’d love to hear what you think!
