Starting 1st August 2016, I’ll be publishing a daily writing exercise aimed at making some room for reflection, expanding your mind, and kick starting creativity. Creative, expressive and reflection-based writing has been linked to improved mood, well-being, and reduced stress levels for those who do it regularly.

The exercises can take as much or as little time as you wish, most people should be able to complete them in 5 to 10 minutes. The time spent should be an enjoyable and engaging, but also a little challenging. Don’t worry about the quality of the story, just start writing.

Although you can type out each exercise on a computer, tablet or phone, I’d suggest completing them in handwriting. I’d also suggest getting a pad especially for the project, and completing an exercise on each page.

See you on Monday 1st August.
