Inside the Social Media Skills Gap
The skills needed to get ahead on social media go beyond just being a frequent user. What it takes to maximize the amount of benefits acquired from social media may in fact need training. I believe that due to the fact that social media is still a blossoming entity, companies are still looking at eachother for what social media norms are. Many companies have gone the comic route; engaging sarcatically and satirical with normal people. Many have gone the route of loking for input from customers through the social media realm. Companies have only scratched the surface of the marketing possibilities associated with social media. I see a successful social media account as being versatile and flexible enough to meet all of these approaches and still be able to keep up with the latest trends.
