The Ancient Of Days

We wanted to do something special and different for the Spring ’16 collection and so we decided to create 100% Genuine Leather patches and hand stitch them on to each hat & beanie. We put our heart in soul into each hand stitched hat because we believe these hats can help inspire people to live boldly and unashamed for Christ. We put the phrase ‘Live For The Ancient Of Days’ on to the new hats & tee shirts because we hope to inspire people to have their lives reflect The Ancient Of Days and be a living testimony to the world.

The Ancient Of Days is a name of God that we see in the book of Daniel in chapter 7 and it’s a fascinating portrayal of God. In this passage, Daniel is receiving a vision from God. What he sees is astonishing, he sees this ancient or venerable person, dressed in all white with hair white as snow. This person is sitting on a flaming throne with its wheels all ablaze. To make this scene even more incredible, He’s sitting on his throne before ten thousand times ten thousand. In this passage we see God depicted in a mesmerizing way.

The white hair and title Ancient indicate that God existed before time. The term ‘Ancient Of Days’ literally translates to ‘Before Days Were’. The God of the bible created time and was before days even existed. Try to fathom that. We serve a God who is the Everlasting to Everlasting (Psalms 90:2), He is The First and The Last (Isaiah 44:6), who was and is and is to come.

There can also be no doubt that the flaming throne is symbolic of judgment. The God of the bible, The Ancient Of Days, is a righteous and just God. There is a similar description of God in Revelation 1:14–15. There He also has hair white as snow and blazing eyes. One day there will be a judgment and those who place their faith in Jesus Christ will be seen as righteous and justified.

We placed this phrase ‘Live for The Ancient Of Days’ on to hats and shirts because we wanted to inspire peoples lives to reflect The Ancient Of Days. Everyday with our lives as a living testimony we have the potential to show Christ’s love and grace to the world. We wanted to inspire lives to be bold and unashamed for The Ancient Of Days, The God of the bible who was before time.
