“What is a good piece of random advice?”

The only way you’ll ever truly change is if you can answer this question with a yes:

“Is it ok for me to change?”

And I’m talking 100% YES. Not “yeah, I think so.” Not “yeah, kind of.” Definitely not “maybe.”

If it’s not a 100% YES then you might still change but it’ll only be for a certain amount of time. Could be hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades. But you’ll always revert to who you are because we always do if we’re not ok being who we’re being.

If it’s not 100% YES to changing, then why are you changing? Do you want to change or do you just think you want to? Do you want to change or do you think other people want you to change?

Or.

Maybe it’s not a 100% YES to changing but you’re still 100% sure you want to change.

What’s stopping you? What are you holding onto that’s getting in your way? What will it take for you to let go of the belief that it’s not ok to change?

What are you afraid of? What will happen when you realise there was nothing to be afraid of after all?

You’ll change when it’s ok for you to change.
