Trump did not “mis-speak”. He was not speaking off the cuff. He was not just joking. The first time I saw the video of the “2nd amendment people” comment, the thing that struck me was how deliberate the comment was. He planned it. Add this to all his other comments, condoning or encouraging violence against protesters and the notion that the election is rigged, it feels like he’s setting up a scenario of armed revolt after his inevitable loss.
