The 32 list results

Welp, it’s been a year, it’s time to tally up my oddball goals. I did pretty well this year I got 13 out of 22 complete. That’s almost 60% completion. That’s especially good given that this was my first year as a parent. What ideas do folks have for next year?

  • Figure out a fitness goal that excites me
  • Do a craft project with Angie
  • Make a dramatic adjustment to reduce my daily household waste
  • Ignore urinal etiquette all year
  • Adjust my wardrobe significantly
  • Express gratitude daily for a week
  • Don’t complain for a month
  • Vegan for 2 months
  • Try to get a good-guy discount
  • Get on the bone marrow donation list
  • Fast for an extended period of time
  • Learn more about Quakerism
  • Try eating Soylent for a week

  • Junk food when it’s rare and appropriate for the year
  • Write a blog post per month

For those of you that are new to The List, for the past 3 years I’ve made a list of goals whose criteria simply had to be something that would make a good story. It’s a great way to force myself out of my comfort zone and continually learn. The odds of something ending on the list increase if most people’s initial reaction is “that seems like a bad idea”.
