Yesterday was Super Tuesday where the majority of states select who is going to be the two candidates running for President. If I was to vote which I didn’t there was a strong chance Donald Trump would potentially receive my vote. However, it has nothing to do with his stance or any of his rambling but more so for the bigger picture.
John Oliver had a great quote in his show Sunday describing why I came to my statement above.
There is a part of that even likes this guy. It’s a part of me I HATE, but it is a part of me
At this point of my life (a recent college graduate with a BA in Criminal Justice) I view the president (which I hate myself for) as a puppet. In my mind ,nobody actually makes a difference or a significant enough difference which should require my ultimate attention to understand this whole politics situation?
Now I am not saying Donald Trump will make a good president. Moreover, I am hoping that if elected he will wake up society and break the cycle of broken campaign promises and the vast influence large corporations have on politics. Donald Trump from my understanding has no reason to be influenced by other companies based on his financial success.
What worries me and is most frightening if his campaign is successful is Donald Trump qualities as a leader. He may not be who he is portrayed to be in the media.
Trump has failed a lot in business as mentioned in the video above. He has lost a huge amount of money despite his alleged worth. Are Americans believing a lie? Is Trump actually successful?
Secondarily, as president while dealing with foreign policies will the world respect the hot-headed unpredictable man which is Donald Trump. I say not.
