Very nice article Alhan, nice research :-) but the kind of A/B tests Bernie is running leaves me with a lot of questions.
By testing such a tiny things as colour and buttons it appears that Bernies website has a lot of visitors. The colour blue made a significant difference within 1 or 2 weeks testing?
So were they testing on end conversions like donations? Or just on click throughs?
The kind of A/B tests you discovered seems to have no connection? Testing some buttons, colours and visuals, mostly on the homepage ( the page the mos far away from the last step in the funnel?). You are totally right when you suggest Bernie should do some more copywrite tests.
My suggestion is more persuasion for Bernie. We wants more donations, so persuade your voters.
