Are you crushing your weekly goals?

I am a huge fan of setting weekly goals. I feel that it helps you break down your overall long term goal and allows you NOT to feel overwhelmed.

On average, do you crush your weekly goals or do they typically crush you? Be honest, its ok because realistically you can’t beat every deadline you set, some things you may need to rethink or break down into smaller tasks.

Here’s what you can do to make sure you are crushing your weekly goals and getting closer to the BIG win:

>Make sure that when you are setting you’re weekly goals, you keep in mind the timeframe as well as the other things you have marinating on your plate. Be realistic about your time and don’t bite off more than you can chew.

>Is the goal that you are setting aligned with what you ultimately are trying to accomplish? If not, park it!

For example, you overall goal is to start a crowdfunding campaign for your new organizaion but you need to research the specifics. However, the weekly goal you set is to pick the color scheme for your new business cards….. something doesn’t fit here! Stick with your plan and park anything that will DISTRACT YOU.

>If your goal is big for the week, break it down into daily tasks so that you will have a better chance of getting it accomplished

For example, Monday do research, Tuesday write out ideas,Wednesday make calls…etc.

Here’s to amazing goal setting and self-discovery along the way!
