This is What Happens When a Woman Supports Bernie Sanders Online

There is so much wrong with this post, it’s hard to know where to begin.

First, people are nasty to one another on the internet. Period. To frame this as a man-vs-woman thing is misleading (at best).

Second, if you are a high-profile person (actor, singer, model, etc.) and you come out in open support of a controversial political candidate, some people are going to be really annoyed. Would you be writing this post if Ms. Ratajkowski were wearing a Ted Cruz sweater? A Trump sweater? How about a huge Sarah Palin t-shirt? I think not.

Which brings me to my final point: You say that the social media companies do “little or nothing to change the (toxic) environment.” But toxic according to whom? You? Me? Emily Ratajkowski? The Pope?

Free speech isn’t free: The cost is putting up with ideas and viewpoints that you find offensive.
