Where Should You Move if You Want to Earn Money? How About if You Want to Save It?
Nicole Dieker

I moved here for undergrad because the school has a decent animal science program (I was an animal science major for all of two semesters) and is in the mountains. I’ve spent my entire working life here, excluding high school jobs and assistantships, so earning potential was not at all a factor for me in where I live.

Mr. McDillet and I seem to have hit a sweet spot recently as far as cost of living vs. salary goes, and I definitely consider that when we get pressure to move elsewhere (generally my parents trying to get us to move to Colorado). My salary would increase in CO (probably ~$15k), but we could never afford a similar living situation (acres of land, lots of water, easy access to town).
