1 Gunnar Nielsen | Goalkeeper | 29 — international

First choice goalkeeper for the Faroe Islands, Nielsen was on the books of Manchester City from 2009–2013, making one Premier League substitute appearance. Also had spells with Tranmere Rovers and Motherwell.

21 Böðvar Böðvarsson | Left-Back | 21

An Icelandic U21 international who has been at the club for three years. Went to Danish club, Midtjylland, on loan last year but never featured. Returned to FH at the start of this season and has started eight of the club’s nine league games to date.

20 Kassim Doumbia | Centre-Back | 25

Now in his third season with FH, after moving from Belgian side, Waasland Beveren, the Mali born defender is a rock at the heart of the FH back four and recently signed a contract extension that will keep him in Iceland until the end of 2017.

5 Bergsveinn Olafsson | Centre-Back | 23

Signed ahead of the 2016 season from Fjolnir, the 23-year-old former Icelandic U21 international has played in every league game to date, forming an impressive partnership alongside Doumbia. FH have conceded just four goals in nine games.

26 Jonathan Hendrickx | Right-Back | 22

The Belgian born right-back with the catchy name is now in his third season with FH. Started his career with Belgian side Standard Liege before moving to Dutch Eerste Divisie team, Fortuna Sittard. Transferred to FH in 2014.

10 Davíð Viðarsson | Midfielder | 32

A brother of Bjarni, the 32-year-old began his career with FH before spending time in Sweden and Denmark. The FH captain has five Icelandic league winners medals and nine international caps to his name and has started all nine league games this season.

13 Bjarni Viðarsson | Midfielder | 28

Signed from Danish side, Silkeborg in 2015, the made one appearance for Everton back in 2007 before having spells at Dutch side FC Twente, Belgian sides Roeselare and KV Mechelen. In 2012, he moved to Denmark before returning to Iceland.

8 Emil Palsson | Midfielder | 23 — international

The 23-year-old midfielder has scored three times in nine league games this season, including two match winners, and was called up to the Icelandic side for their friendly with the United Arab Emirates in January, playing 45 minutes in the 2–1 defeat.

11 Atli Guðnason | Winger | 31

Vastly experienced and hugely influential with five league winners medals and six cup medals to his name, Guðnason has made 36 appearances for FH in European competition, scoring 11 times. He has also represented his country on three occasions.

7 Steven Lennon | Striker | 28

A player that Dundalk fans will recognise after his injury hit spell at Oriel Park in 2010. Moved to FH in 2014 and has netted 19 times in just 36 league games for the club. Was their top scorer en route to the title in 2015.

9 Þórarinn Valdimarsson | Winger | 25 — international

The 25-year-old attacker has four international caps to his name but has yet to find the net for FH this season. Has experience of playing in the Norwegian league and also has eight Champions League appearances to his name.

Heimir Gudjónsson | Manager

Appointed as manager in January 2008, the 47-year-old has led the club to four Icelandic league titles, as well as an Icelandic Cup and League Cup. His record is an impressive one: P228 W144 D38 L46.
