Embracing Cognitive Dissonance

Creative Dissonance

Thank Sam, and once people have listened openly, they can also start to work together to explore other perspectives to the challenge at hand.

If I can suspend my dissonance, I can explore other ideas, access the collective intelligence of my team, and we can begin to develop a richer response together (which is just as important as the response itself).

Here’s a starter to get there, riffing off your ‘what surprised me’ column. I’ve used smoking as a brief example.

Might a better title be Creative Dissonance Canvas? Thoughtscape Canvas?
