Medea, Goddess of Illusion

Who is Medea?
Medea is the goddess of illusion. She is also a witch. She is the daughter of King Creon of Corinth and Idyia. Medea had the ability to control and cast magic, which she learned from her aunt, Circe. Her magic color is magenta. Examples of powers she derived from her magic are having the ability to control the emotions of love and desire. Her uncanny ability to mimic Psyche allows her to fool those closest to Psyche, including Eros. She becomes a murderous villain that demands respect and even some sympathy.

Modern Day Medea (MEDIA)
In the modern day, everyone knows Hollywood to be the #1 hotspot for celebrities, & where all everyones favorite movies came along. However, what people are not aware of is how Hollywood came to be. Why is it called Hollywood? Well, there is a tree called the Holly Tree. The Druids regarded Holly Tree as a symbol of fertility and eternal life, thought to have magical powers. Today, Christians have adopted the Holly Tree as a symbol for Christmas. The sharp leaves are said to symbolize the crown of thorns worn by Christ, while the berries represent his blood. So, the magical tree (Holly) is made of wood, hence Holly-Wood. Which is pretty much a another way of saying magic…. Think about it like this, whenever someone is trying to get on a movie or show they get “Casted” (Witches “Cast” spells) & what do they read their lines off?? A “script”…. Kind of weird that all these things in regards to Hollywood root back to magic right? (Irony on root and holly tree) Well it is no surprise what so ever, people always had conspiracy theories about people selling their souls in Hollywood , they are not entirely wrong. Now, let us put this into perspective. If Medea is the goddess of illusion had the ability to control and cast magic, what does that mean for us in the modern day? As everyone is aware, Media today controls the world. From social media (Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, ect) to TV media like news channels, they are literally brainwashing (or at least trying to attempt to brainwash) the whole population on earth.
