[ANN] MediBloc in Korea partners with Bestian Foundation and FineInsight
On April 12th, MediBloc in Korea has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Bestian Foundation and FineInsight, specialized hospital for burn therapy and a medical record system provider, respectively. This is the fourth partnership announcement following the agreements with Oracle Medical Group, Kyung Hee University Dental Hospital, and Hanyang University Medical Center.
At the ceremony, MediBloc in Korea, Bestian Foundation, and FineInsight stated that they would collaborate with the integration of the hospital’s medical record system with MediBloc’s blockchain-based healthcare platform, development of new business models for digital healthcare, and technology exchanges with startups related to Bestian Osong MediCluster.
“This partnership is expected to accelerate the standardization of patient-centered healthcare information platform based on the blockchain,” said Eunsol Lee, co-founder of MediBloc in Korea. He added, “Our team will collaborate with Fine Insight to successfully develop the projects supported by Bestian Foundation and create synergies.”
Kyeongsik Kim, the chairman of the board at Bestian Foundation, stated, “MediBloc in Korea has excellent technology, and by partnering with them, we have an opportunity to provide a healthcare experience that is truly patient-centric.”
Bestian Hospitals in Seoul and Busan have been certified as specialized clinics for burn therapy. The foundation is planning to open ‘Bestian Osong MediCluster’ at Osong High-tech Medical Industry Complex in October 2018; R&D center for severe burn therapy and clinical tests. The opening of Bestian Osong MediCluster will be the foundation’s first milestone in its global expansion.
FineInsight is a creative IT design and professional research group that develops medical record system and healthcare service. It has developed an integrated medical record system(‘Lime’) and implemented it in Bestian Hospitals.
With the global expansion of Bestian Foundation and various use cases of FineInsight’s medical record system, MediBloc in Korea has once again achieved an opportunity to strengthen the platform and expand the business internationally.
MediBloc in Korea is a blockchain-based health information platform. It is a patient-centric platform that stores health records and life logs on the blockchain and provides all necessary PHR of patients to healthcare professionals whenever they visit medical institutions. Furthermore, researchers can have access to, with the permission of patients, medical data which is currently limited to specific medical institutions.
