I like the image of the fragile idea a lot! I still think sharing your idea at an early stage is crucial for it to grow in the right direction. Many young entrepreneurs think that if they talk about their idea that someone else will steal it — but I’ve never seen this. What I’ve seen is that people who keep their idea too long for themselves might forget something along the way because they lack the experience in turning an idea into action. I think open communication with like-minded people who know the business (not friends or family) can really help.
