If You’re Going To Debut A Song, Do It With Flamethrowers

First of all, watch “All Day” here because this performance can only be described in one word: FUCKINGLIT.

Kanye West finally debuted the long-anticipated track “All Day” from his upcoming, yet-to-be-revealed-yet-coming-soon seventh studio album, at the 2015 BRITAwards Live. In the wake of the last two months featuring Kanye’s somber ode to his deceased mother “Only One” featuring Paul McCartney and the stoic “Wolves” featuring Sia and Vic Mensa — “All Day” breaks the mold with the surprise return of the Louis Vuitton Don’s braggadocious stunt.

“Still got the 100 with the small face, nigga
Might spend 50 racks on my off day, nigga
You a fake Denzel like the Allstate nigga
If you run into me, need to have Allstate with you
You a Rico Suave nigga
Drive around listening to Sade nigga
If you ain’t with us, you in our way, nigga”

As monumental as the record’s debut was, it was nothing compared to the spectacle of the performance, an intense and visceral experience every bit as awe-inspiring to watch as the explosion of a thousand suns. Within moments of the industrial-opening (trademark Yeezus), flamethrowers lit up the sky as fifty men donned in all black swallowed the stage, perfectly accenting the song’s raw energy.

Maybe as notable as the performance were the reaction from celebrities throughout the audience.

Wife, Kim Kardashian-West looking on proudly watching another one of her husbands mad scientist creations come to life.

Taylor Swift soul escaped within the first few moments of processing “All Day” but was quickly replaced by the instinctual, pure energy resonating from the stage.

Lionel Richie, who’s seen it all, witnessed Yeezus at work.

Sam Smith, may have been impressed?

Kanye West has been everywhere the last three weeks, and I mean everywhere. The GRAMMYs, Fashion Week, All-Star Weekend in New York City, adidas stores, Saturday Night Live, Ellen, radio shows, television shows. It’s a very subtle, yet absolutely necessary, promotional run for an album that has no release date. The only thing left to do now is wait for the hour where not only the internet breaks, but collapses on itself.
