Megaverse premiers new features at the Dubai Design Week
The hyper-realistic metaverse comes to life
With the word ‘metaverse’ becoming the buzzword of 2022, many are left wondering what exactly is the metaverse and what can it do for me. Megaverse has been consistent in its messaging, roadmap, and delivery of its product. They kept that streak alive with a massive showcase of new features and designs at the official Dubai Design Week 2022, held under the patronage of the Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
With a large 20-square-meter dome situated in the middle of the Dubai Design District — Atrium 5, Megaverse put its design prowess on full display for all to see. The Dubai Design District is a prestigious event that is hosted for artists, fashion designers, brands, architects, and metaverse builders to come and share their new products and services with the world. Think, CES but for design; the place where designers go to show off their best work and connect with the industry’s top executives and design leaders.
Megaverse was invited to the event as an honored guest and presenter, to showcase its metaverse in full effect. Inside the 20-meter large dome, the team shared their digital world on massive screens with an entirely interactive experience that became the talk of the event. You couldn’t miss the dome, even if you tried- it was the largest activation, by size, during the weeklong event.
During the first two days of the event, the team hosted hourly talks with fans and industry leaders, sharing their knowledge of where they think the metaverse is going and how it will play an integral part in our society.
The new features that were released and shared during the event included the new Mega office complex, where users can now join the Megaverse team for a full VR-ready experience. The team is starting to host all their own in-house meeting on their own platform and inviting fans to join them for an immersive experience for their future AMAs, community meetup events, and weekly company updates.
Sure, the team could go to Twitter Spaces, Discord chats, or any other video conferencing application, but the team is “putting their money where their mouth is” and using their own metaverse, to show progress and that what they have built is usable and ready to go.
CEO Mojtaba Assadian shared “It’s time we start showing the world what Megaverse is all about. We will begin to use our own platform for all our own internal meetings, replacing zoom and other applications; we are asking our fans to come along on the journey and start testing the VR-ready world with us.”
In the world of metaverse building, where over-promising is starting to become commonplace, Megaverse is not only continuing to build but also showing the world that what they have built is ready for use. They are encouraging users to come to join them during the process, give feedback and grow with the digital world.
“For far too long, companies have been promising a product that is not live or requires more time and money to build. We have built ours and we want the world to see that we are far ahead of other metaverse”, said Mojtaba in an interview during the Dubai Design Week.
