Your French flag is an insult to me
Paul Malan

This article would be interesting if the past didn’t already show us that it’s not true. There are double standards in compassion, period. And Paris is just another case of it. And it won’t be the “start of something” compassion wise. More than 300 civilians have already died in Syria due to West bombs since the attacks in Paris and I haven’t seen one official shed a tear, or a minute silence, or anything else. 9/11 was the same. Madrid too. Add to that 7/7. The results were the same. If we could just admit that we do feel more towards certain humans and that we’re nowhere near about to change, we could save a lot of time we usually spend being hypocrites.

You’re a good writer though.
