Sorry Suburbanites, you’re not Chicagoans

I never knew this argument was in issue before I met some Chicagoans, and they said the same thing: being from the suburbs of Chicago doesn’t mean you’re from Chicago. As a Michigander, I didn’t understand what the big deal was and no one ever explained it to me, so your piece makes it understandable. I can see the frustration, but I can see someone from the suburbs arguing that they are part of Chicago. I think it’d be interesting to read a piece from their point of view.
