How I Use Video, Audio, and Text For My Content

As a content creator, I want to use the best medium to communicate with my audience. I believe it’s the same for you.

There are three main ways to share your message with the world: video, audio, and text. How to use them to communicate effectively is the challenge.

In this article, I share how I use each of these medium natively.

Video: As a visual medium, video is best suited for showing what I am doing. If I want to share with you how I edit my vlogs, the best way to show it is via videos. Hence, through my vlogs, you will see me showing you what I am doing or what I am up to.

Audio: My audio content on Anchor.FM is being distributed on iTunes and Google Play as a podcast. Audio is the best medium if I need to explain the steps you’d take to reinvent yourself.

Text: Though it’s been said that watching and listening are the new reading, I know my audience will still prefer to have the content in text if it is more in-depth. For example, a checklist is best presented as a text document rather than audio or video. As such, I will be publishing some of my in-depth content in text format on my blog and selectively on here.

Do share with me how you are currently using the different medium to share your message.
