Are Hipsters Rich?

From my non-millennial perspective, I think hipsters as a group aren’t cool as much as they’re simply young. Whether young people were hippies or yuppies or hipsters, they spend a lot of time and a good percentage of their funds trying to impress each other by buying specific brands of coffee or clothing or music.
As they matured and started families, their focus shifted from themselves to their children. At that point, they moved to the suburbs, got boring jobs and basically turned into their parents, just as their parents had made the same journey a generation earlier.
