I genuinely enjoy reading the Billfold. The bloggers and readers skew younger and more politically progressive than me, so I enjoy reading their different perspectives and points of view. I also appreciate that you’re quite clear about your biases and write accordingly. (This was why I initially objected to your use of “objective analysis”, since I didn’t think it was an accurate statement to make.)
I have an offer for you. Since you and I swim in different political waters, I think we’d both benefit by reading books which we may not otherwise read. How about if I buy and read two books which you recommend and you read two books which I’ll have delivered to whatever address you’d name. In this way, we can each learn more about the foundation of each other’s worldview. Does that sound reasonable?
