I’d be interested to know the percentages of US citizens who were incorrectly placed in detention or deported. Without detracting from the unfairness of any individual examples, I wonder how prevalent they are.
Based on the sympathetic post below, the percentages are quite small.
Based on the post below, there were more than 250k deportations in 2016. If the number of incorrect deportations were less than 1,000, then more than 99.5 percent were deported correctly. Obviously that’s unfair to the US citizens who were detained or deported. However, these circumstances appear to be exceptional.
