Yes, you’re right. I agree with some laws and disagree with others. Just because a government passes a law doesn’t mean that the law itself is inherently good.

If people want to move to the US because they can have a better life, I have a lot of sympathy for them. My grandparents and great-grandparents did so for the same reasons (albeit legally). However, I also understand why the illegal immigrants and their families are at-risk of deportation until their immigration status is legalised. If we are to be a nation of laws, then we must accept the consequences of breaking the laws.
