The worst part is, people discuss the latest stories and developments on Twitter without making much effort to educate themselves on what, if any, actual facts (not speculation; facts) that have been revealed.

My favourite aspect of the story is when a Washington Post reporter tweeted about the huge number of hits the paper received. The goal is literally the number of hits. Whether the sources are anonymous or the story is accurate really doesn’t matter.
