Software Tester

Responsibilities:

• Execution of Tests: Primarily focuses on executing test cases, either manually or through automated tools.
• Defect Identification: Identifies and logs defects found during testing, and works with developers to ensure they are fixed.
• Test Documentation: Documents test cases, test results, and provides detailed defect reports.
• User Perspective Testing: Often tests software from an end-user perspective to ensure usability and functionality.
• Regression Testing: Performs regression testing to ensure new changes haven’t introduced new defects.

Skills:

• Attention to detail and ability to identify subtle issues.
• Knowledge of testing techniques and tools.
• Understanding of the software being tested.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with the team.
• Basic understanding of automation tools (though less emphasis than a QA Engineer).
