Back to Life Book Helping AS PRESCRIBED Film Raise Funds

Pam Armstrong, founder of the Counsel for Involuntary Tranquiliser Addiction, (CITA) and author of “Back to Life: The Great Escape from Tranquilliser Addiction, SSRIs and Sleeping ‘Z Drug’ Pills”

Funding for the highly anticipated “As Prescribed” documentary due out in 2017 has received some good news. Proceeds from Pam Armstong’s book, “Back to Life: The Great Escape from Tranquilliser Addiction, SSRIs and Sleeping ‘Z Drug’ Pills” will go towards completion of the film. Armstrong wrote “Back to Life” in order to help those addicted to benzodiazepines and with hopes that it would increase the knowledge of health professionals. The book has been updated to include antidepressants.

Armstrong was the founder of the Counsel for Involuntary Tranquiliser Addiction, (CITA). She was a nurse, teacher and held formal qualifications in counseling. She used all her skills to develop new methods of support for patients who want to withdraw from the benzodiazepines.

As a pharmacist, I am well aware of the extent of the problem of benzodiazepine addiction and the difficulties experienced by so many patients. This book will be an invaluable aid to all those who are withdrawing from these tranquillisers — Geraint Short, B, Sc. M.R.Pharm S. and Vice Chairman of CITA.
