Good evaluation of many existing messaging channels. WeChat and LINE might be worth having a look at regarding possibilities for business customer interaction within messengers. This scenario has most potential to significantly improve current — often extremely broken — communication between business and customers.

For private only communication there is not as much potential for significant improvements. Totally agree that Skype, SMS and MMS are very outdated.
