Messier.Art — Full Feature Breakdown
Messier.Art is the new kid on the block, launching 15 February 2022. They’re here to play nice and to help elevate the Terra community and projects. Although similarities can be drawn between existing Terra marketplaces, Messier.Art will be etching their own space to help the ecosystem grow, building a platform that is welcoming to all projects and lending a helping hand to expand their reach. In a series of Medium articles, communication of how Messier will be delivering on these goals will be addressed, beginning with Messier’s platform functionality.
Messier’s mission is to deliver a purpose built premium minting and trading marketplace for the Terra ecosystem. Messier has created a seamless user experience, prioritizing ease of use, functionality and a naturally intuitive design. The platform’s features include some first-to-market functionality, which are mentioned below.

Messier.Art Homepage
Simple and effortless is at the heart of Messier, that’s why when the community visits Messier.Art they will be shown bite size but key information directly on the Homepage.
Upcoming Mints — Messier.Art upcoming mints will have its own segment on the page, highlighting some of the projects that will be available and supported by Messier.
Top Collections This Week — Be in the know when it comes to which projects are performing well, these top collections are ranked by 7D trading volume, so the Messier community will never miss out on the projects that are taking off.
Sponsors — Individual sellers will be able to boost their sales which promotes their NFT prominently on the homepage for 24 hours. Anyone is able to boost an NFT onto our homepage, allowing everyone to support their favorite creator.
Recently Minted — Anyone is able to mint an NFT using our minting functionality. This section gives a headlight to even the smallest of artists, showcasing their NFT directly on our homepage.
Project Page
The Messier.Art page is putting their projects up in headlights by making their information easily accessible, projects that are listed on their secondary marketplace will be prominently displayed. Further, with just one click, the users are able to connect directly from Messier.Art to the Project and their communities, the links can be found on the project’s bio where you’ll find their website, socials, seller attributes and statistics.
Name & Bio: Projects will be able to provide buyers and minters with a short description of what they represent, providing prospective community members with a better idea of what may be appealing to them beyond the NFTs.
Socials & Stats: The socials quick links give you quick access to those key project specs to DYOR. The Statistics give you a snapshot of where the project is at already — holders, likes, total artworks in the collection and when the project was created.
Bid or buy: Here the user can try their hand at a bid or buy to secure their NFT. The overall layout allows the buyer to quickly snap those paper hand dropped bargains at the best comparable price. Alpha Alert: Messier allows you to place bids on listed, but also on unlisted NFTs. Showing your interest in a piece of art should not be limited.
Search: The user may already know what the exact NFT they’re after is, therefore can use the intuitive search bar to find that exact NFT.
Filter: Refined search with the trait filters make it easy for the user to get that Iced out NFT they’re after.
Minting Page
Messier.Art aims to make the user’s minting experience easy, look great and eliminate the noise to enjoy the journey.
Never miss a beat with all the key information available including minting stages, quantity and trading currency. Even the countdown is on the same page to keep watch as the mint unfolds.
About: Projects will have the option to write a summary of what their project represents, a quick and easy snapshot to tell their potential community members what they can expect.
Roadmap: Arguably one of the most important factors when deciding to invest in a particular project is the Roadmap as this is where their future plans are communicated. As well as all of the relevant information around the project that is minting, in a quick easy infographic.
Minting Goals: A first of its kind for Terra! For those that have experienced the rush of mint day for both projects and community alike, Messier.Art has added an additional layer of fun. A project can set milestones for the mint day where rewards can be dropped or other conditions set accordingly. Messier will assist with the implementation of these goals.
Wallet
The wallet is the portal for all the information on the NFTs the user holds in their wallet. Here users will find their NFTs currently held. This page is a central hub to easily allow NFT enthusiasts to auction, list and accept bids on their NFTs.
Single Minting & Explore
Messier.Art believes in true decentralization of the marketplace, and that means that anyone should be able to mint individual pieces independently on the Messier.Art platform, with little assistance required from the team. This feature will be available from launch. We have created a naturally intuitive design, and plan to add a lot more functionality post-launch.
Conclusion
Messier.Art may be the new kid in town but it’s bringing amazing UX, some fun functionality and a party where everyone is invited. Or more simply put Messier will continue to work towards providing a larger platform for artists and projects with the driving force of the community, promoting a healthy, decentralised Web 3. Needless to say, Messier.Art is a welcomed addition to the Terra ecosystem.
